This year's potluck will also feature the Advocacy Coalition and Education, or ACE Awards, which honor those who have contributed to strengthen and educate the LGBT world.
UICA movie night is June 16 and will feature the romantic comedy "Adam & Steve." The pre-movie reception will begin at 7 p.m. and feature food and wine. The Urban Institute of Contemporary Arts is located at 41 Sheldon Blvd.; tickets are $10 and can be purchased at Pub 43, The Apartment Lounge, The Network Center or at the door.
Saturday June 17 is the day of the area's main event, West Michigan PRIDE 2006, which will begin with a time of fellowship and worship at John Ball Park's Picnic Acres at Noon. At 2 p.m. the party will kick off on the baseball diamond of John Ball Park. Lots of vendors will be on hand for shopping, along with food and, of course, the beer tent.
