A group of students from Eastern Michigan University School of Social Work are conducting a survey seeking to assess the possible needs of the lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender population who either currently or may in the future reside in a nursing home or assisted living facility.
"This study seeks to create a foundation of possible concerns of this diverse cohort which may
be used to establish implications for future practice and community development," said graduate assistant Ryan Cowmeadow in a statement.
This research activity created by the students is for partial fulfillment of the Master of Social Work Degree at Eastern Michigan University and has been approved by the EMU College of Health and Human Services Human Subjects Review Board. This survey can be completed by e-mail, U.S. Mail or in person with the student researchers.
