TROY - Variety: The Children's Charity is hosting a new fundraising event, "Martinis and Lamborghinis," at 7:30 p.m. April 28 at The Somerset Collection South in Troy. The party will feature several Lamborghinis on display as a backdrop to an evening of fun, food, music, dancing, fashion and martinis.
"Martinis & Lamborghinis" will begin with a hip, swinging cocktail reception of drinks and appetizers. The Blackman & Arnold Jazz Quartet will supply music at Somerset's Rotunda. There will be a silent auction, raffle prizes and a fashion show of clothing and jewelry.
A strolling dinner will be catered by the Matt Prentice Restaurant Group. Two deejays will keep the crowd dancing. The dress code is cocktail chic.
"This promises to be a fabulous evening and definitely one that residents in this area will want to attend," said Bruce Migdal, event co-chair, in a statement. "We also are pleased to have an opportunity to introduce these partygoers to Variety in such a fun setting."
Event sponsors are the Matt Prentice Restaurant Group; Hamilton, Miller, Hudson, & Fayne Travel Corporation; Darakjian Jewelers; Lamborghini of Troy; Special events rental; The Somerset Collection; and J. Lewis Cooper.
