UMGALAS offers scholarship

ANN ARBOR - The University of Michigan Gay and Lesbian Alumni Society is offering the Detroit Eagle Gay Community Scholarship, Jim Toy Scholarship, and UMGALAS Scholarship to students in good standing and enrolled full-time at the University of Michigan.
Students must demonstrate leadership, support, or involvement in organizations, activities or issues that benefit the lesbian, gay male, bisexual, and transgender communities. Willingness to be publicly recognized as a recipient of the award (note: neither application for nor acceptance of this award is construed as an indication of the sexual orientation of the individual).
There are two scholarships available and are due by March 28 for the winter term. The application is available in PDF format at http://ftp://www.finaid.umich.edu/umgalas.pdf or pick up a hard copy in the LGBT Affairs Office, located at 3200 Michigan Union.
