Holland to serve as setting for 'What's Wrong with Virginia,' starring Jennifer Connelly

HOLLAND (AP) - A movie starring Jennifer Connelly and Ed Harris is scheduled to start five weeks of shooting today in southwestern Michigan.

The film, "What's Wrong with Virginia," is being written and directed by Dustin Lance Black, who won a screenwriting Oscar for the 2008 picture "Milk."

Film location manager Patrick Muldoon tells The Holland Sentinel that shooting will take place at about 30 locations from Grand Haven to South Haven.

Many scenes will be filmed at a house just north of Holland in Ottawa County's Holland Township. Shooting also will take place at a Holland dry cleaning shop and Grand Haven City Hall.

Connelly will play a single mother who's involved in a long affair with the local sheriff, played by Harris.
