LGBT Inclusive Bed And Breakfast Receives Award

By BTL Staff

LGBT-supportive vacation spot, the Wickwood Inn, was recently named one of Food & Wine Magazine's 25 Best American bed and breakfasts. The award, issued this month, follows its "2014 Certificate of Excellence," awarded by Trip Advisor.

As a result of its recent recognition, the Saugatuck-based Wickwood - owned by Bill and Julee Rosso Miller - will be offering special mid-week fall specials. Weekday rates for the B&B begin at $259, with weekend rates starting at $329. All rates include Wickwood's "farm to table" breakfast, afternoon and evening sweets, evening "sips" and small plates.

According to the inn's website, "Our historic downtown has an abundance of distinctive boutiques, galleries, tasting rooms, bakeries, cafes and restaurants. Because our downtown is nestled perfectly along Lake Kalamazoo, you can stroll along the docks or take a cruise down the River. Blocks away from our Award Winning Oval Beach and its stunning Lake Michigan coastline, Wickwood Inn offers endless opportunities for activity and relaxation in every season."

For those unable to make it to west Michigan in the next few weeks, Wickwood Inn will host its old fashioned Holiday season Nov. 14 through Jan. 5, 2015.

Due to its continuing success and the opportunity to view Michigan's famous changing leaves, Wickwood Inn is experiencing unusually heavy reservations. Call 800-385-1174 or 269-857-1465 to book a stay. Wickwood Inn is located at 510 Butler St., Saugatuck. For more information, visit
