Ferndale Pride 2018 Sponsorship is Officially Open

A chill may be in the air but Ferndale Pride is thawing out and warming up in preparation for its eighth annual celebration. The upcoming event will take place on June 2, 2018, on West Nine Mile, and as usual, Pride will have booths, activities, two stages of entertainment, a children's area and roughly 20,000 visitors nearly the size of the city's population.
Although it's less than a decade old, Ferndale Pride's popularity has skyrocketed. The website After Ellen listed the event as a "Small City Pride That is Worth the Trip." But Ferndale Pride couldn't be as successful of an event and safe space for LGBTQ people if it wasn't for the financial support of local businesses and community members.
Although the event itself is six months away, businesses can get the jump on reserving sponsorship opportunities that come with a variety of promotional perks like naming rights, logo distribution around Pride and exposure on the main stage alongside artists like The Clicks and Goddess & She. Each of these opportunities will last the length of the week-long event.
Sponsorship gifts can range in price from $200 to $15,000. Sponsors to date include MotorCity Casino Hotel, Suburban Buick GMC of Ferndale, The Candle Wick Shoppe and Rosie O'Grady's.
For more information about sponsorship opportunities, visit gaybe.am/n6, or contact Julia Music who is the event chair at 248-906-8683 or [email protected]. Send all mail inquiries to 430 E. Saratoga St., Suite B, Ferndale.
