Jewish Gay Network annouces holiday events

Book Discussion

The Jewish Gay Network is hosting a discussion of Rabbi Steven Greenberg’s book, “Wrestling with God and Men,” Sunday, Dec. 5 at 3 p.m. The discussion will be moderated by Rabbi Aaron Bergman and is geared toward all religious people struggling to resolve their belief in the Bible with a desire to make their communities more open and accepting to gay and lesbian members. There is no charge for this event, which will be held in the Meyers Library at the Kahn Jewish Community Center in West Bloomfield.

Chanukah Celebration

The Jewish Gay Network will be hosting its first Annual Chanukah Celebration, Sunday, Dec. 12 at Just 4 Us Bookstore in Ferndale. At 3 p.m. there will be a study session, “The Kabbalah of Eight” followed by a party from 4-6 p.m. The charge for this family-friendly event is $8 plus a non-perishable, kosher food item which will be donated to Yad Ezra.
