The Michigan chapter of the Arthritis Foundation will be offering winter classes in Tai Chi at three Oakland County locations beginning mid-January.
All of the Tai Chi from the Arthritis Foundation classes are taught by instructors who have been trained and certified by the Foundation. Classes will meet for one hour, 1-2 times per week, for six or more weeks.
According to the Arthritis Foundation, in addition to being a joint-safe exercise program, Tai Chi “may improve mobility, breathing and relaxation.”
For more information about exact starting dates, class fees and to register, contact one of the following three locations during business hours:
Prescription Fitness – Waterford: 248-674-8855
W. Bloomfield Parks and Recreation – West Bloomfield: 248-738-2515

Tuition proceeds from the Foundation’s classes support the organization’s other programs and services for three million Michigan residents who have arthritis.
