In partnership with the Community Mental Health and Substance Abuse Network of West Michigan and the Mental Health Foundation of West Michigan, the Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts in Grand Rapids presents Fine Line: Mental Health/Mental Illness, a multi-media exhibition created by artist Michael Nye of black and white portraits and deeply personal audio stories of individuals touched by mental illness. The exhibition will be on display through March 20 in UICA’s Front Street Gallery and newly renovated Sheldon Community Gallery (renovations to the gallery made possible, in part, through a Cool Cities Catalyst Grant).
