Fall will soon be here, and with the change of seasons comes a chance for you to make a positive change in the course of the AIDS epidemic. AIDS walks will be taking place around the state again this year, and there is a location and a date to fit just about any schedule.
On Sept. 18, Steppin’ Out’s AIDS Walk Detroit will begin at the Royal Oak Farmer’s Market with registration at 8:30 a.m. The walk will begin at 10 a.m. For more information or to register visit or call 248-399-9255.
If that date doesn’t work, or if you’d like a change of pace, direct your feet to one of the AIDS Walk Michigan locations. Walks will be taking place in Ann Arbor, Bay City, Detroit, Flint, Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, Lansing and Traverse City during the weekend of Oct. 1 & 2. This could be the perfect opportunity to do some good and see Michigan’s fall colors!
For more information or to register visit or call 888-791-9255.
And if you know you can’t make any of the dates, you can let your fingers do the walking for you, because both organizations are also taking donations online.
