PONTIAC – On Sept. 24, Pontiac’s Club Flamingo will be hosting a first – the first-ever drag performance by Reverend Mark Bidwell and Reverend Deborah Dysert, pastors of Metropolitan Community Churches in Ferndale and Clarkston.
The performance is part of a benefit by Dysert’s church, Divine Peace MCC, for Wonderful Animals Giving Support, a Midwest AIDS Prevention Project-sponsored program that helps people with AIDS care for their companion animals.
A ten dollar ticket buys entrance into the pastors’ world drag premiere. Tickets are available at Divine Peace MCC in Clarkston, Metropolitan Community Church of Detroit, and Praise Fellowship Christian Church in Madison Heights. Call Divine Peace at 248-618-1186, MCCD at 248-399-7741, or Praise Fellowship at 586-201-7884 for details.
Club Flamingo is located at 352 Oakland Ave. in Pontiac. The show starts at 7 p.m.
