The story of four gay African-American best friends comes to television in the original series “Noah’s arc, set to debut Wednesday, Oct. 19 on Logo, the new network for LGBT viewers.
This nine-episode comedy/drama follows struggling screenwriter Noah (Darryl Stephens) as he navigates love and life in Los Angeles with his three friends Alex (Rodney Chester), Ricky (Christian Vincent) and Chance (Doug Spearman).
“Noah’s Arc” explores the daily lives of these four men as they manage complex romantic and professional relationships. Alex is a counselor struggling to overcome his seven-year itch, Ricky is a trendy yet commitment shy Melrose boutique owner, and Chance is a college professor reluctant to commit to his new boyfriend – perhaps with good reason. From new boyfriends to strained friendships to career changes, these men persevere and live their lives with grace and wit.
In the premiere episode of “Noah’s Arc,” Noah introduces his best friends to his new friend Wade (Jensen Atwood), an obviously straight screenwriter. His friends take note of Noah’s attraction to Wade and warn him against getting involved. Meanwhile, Ricky struggles to resist the advances of his new store clerk, Alex discovers his boyfriend Trey’s extracurricular Internet activity, and Chance feels the pressures of moving in with his new man.
