Rainbow Bowl to attract LGBT bowlers, families

FERNDALE – On Saturday, March 25 families and avid bowlers will head over to Royal Oak Lanes in Royal Oak, Michigan to compete in Affirmations' Rainbow Bowl. The event is part of SHINDIGZ!, a new series of events designed to provide a fresh and unique social scene for LGBT people living in the Metropolitan Detroit area.
"As part of our new series, we wanted to make sure we had an event that the entire family could enjoy," said Special Events and Marketing Director Kathleen LaTosch. "We think we did that with this event."
The Rainbow Bowl is the fourth in a series of five events that have been scheduled since January. The final event will feature a special benefit performance of "Sordid Lives" at St. Dunstan's Theatre Guild of Cranbrook on April 6.
Admission to the Rainbow Bowl is $10 per player and $25 per family (including 2 adults and 3 children). Pizza will be provided courtesy of Little Ceasars. Trophies awarded to top scorers. Tickets are available at http://www.GoAffirmations.org or by calling 248-398-7105. All SHINDIGZ! proceeds benefit the programs and services at Affirmations Lesbian and Gay Community Center.
