FERNDALE – National Asian Pacific Islander AIDS Awareness Day will be observed in locations across the globe on Friday May 19, including here in Metro Detroit.
In Metro Detroit, a club night at Soho in downtown Ferndale will be sponsored by Asians & Friends, the local chapter of a national social and advocacy group for the LGBT Asian-American community. The event at Soho will include free anonymous and confidential HIV testing provided by Midwest AIDS Prevention Project, complimentary sushi from Nami Sushi, and drink specials and music from the Soho staff. The event will start at 9 p.m. at Soho located at 205 W. Nine Mile Road in Ferndale.
