21st Annual Pride awards winners announced

WARREN – The 21st Annual Pride Banquet & Awards Ceremony will be held at 7 p.m. June 22 at the Ukrainian Cultural Center in Warren.
Awards this year go to the following dedicated and hard-working members of our lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community in southeastern Michigan:
Business Award: Paramount Bank
Cultural Award: Craig Covey
Lifetime Achievement Award: Joseph James
MAPP Award: Reynaldo Magdaleno, Mike Flores
Media Award: Imani Williams
Political Award: Beverly Davidson
Pride Award: Nancy Katz, Stephanie Newman
Rising Star Award: Chad Grandy
Spirit of Detroit Awards: Kimya Afi Ayodele, Tito Guttierrez, Grace McClelland, Suzanne Wait.
Unity Award: Reverend Mark Bidwell;
Volunteer Award: George Westerman.

The Annual Pride Banquet & Awards Celebration selection committee salutes the following individuals for their devotion to Michigan's lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities and invites all to recognize their efforts by attending the event.
