Rainbow House to hold wine tasting June 15

ANN ARBOR – Rainbow House, Washtenaw county's LGBT Habitat for Humanity project, will host a wine tasting of fine Italian wines on Thursday, June 15 at 6:30 p.m.
In addition to wine tasting and gourmet hors d'oeuvres, guests will be treated to the classical guitar playing of Joseph C. Pratt. Proceeds will benefit the Rainbow House Spring Build, which will begin this month.
The Rainbow House project is the first build in Michigan sponsored by persons in the LGBT community and only the second in the nation.
Habitat for Humanity homeowners each contribute at least 300 hours of labor on their homes and also pay Habitat back on a 25-year, interest-free mortgage. The mortgage payments allow another Habitat house to be built, enabling two families to become homeowners as a result of this project.
The Rainbow House wine tasting fundraiser will be held at Paesano's Restaurant, 3411 Washtenaw Avenue in Ann Arbor. Tickets are $50 each and can be purchased online at http://www.rainbowhouseproject.org.
