Holiday Magic in the Planetarium. Nov. 18-Dec. 31. Weekends 2 p.m. (Daily Nov. 24 and Dec. 26-31). Amazing full-color abstracts and images are choreographed to favorite wintry tunes and holiday music including "Deck the Halls" and "Jingle Bell Rock." Tickets required in addition to museum admission.
Treasures of Cranbrook Art Museum: Selections from the Permanent Collection. Through Jan. 21. Comprised of key works from Cranbrook's permanent collection, this exhibition provides additional context for the works presented in adjacent galleries of the Museum, with paintings and sculptures by artists represented by drawings in the Gilbert and Lila Silverman and Tom and Kitty Stoner. collections.
Weekend Film Series – Visions of Future Living. Nov. 19-Jan. 14, 12:30-4 p.m. Shown in conjunction with the traveling exhibit "Space is the Place," "Visions of Future Living" features fascinating original shots of space and of futuristic architecture and projects visions of a time when people may live on a space station, a colony on the moon or even the planet Mars.
