Actor Adam Sandler promoted his latest film, “Reign Over Me,” with local director Mike Binder at the Uptown Palladium 12 in Birmingham on Sunday. The film, which comes out March 23, takes place post-9/11 after Sandler’s character, Charlie Fineman, loses his family in the attacks, finds his life in shambles and rekindles his friendship with college roommate Alan Johnson, played by Don Cheadle. Sandler’s next film, “I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry,” is about two straight, single Brooklyn firefighters who pretend to be a gay couple in order to receive domestic partner benefits.
