B.D. Wong to visit Central Michigan University

Actor and playwright B.D. Wong will be the Keynote the Asian Heritage Month event at Central Michigan University on April 3, at 7 p.m. in the UC auditorium on campus. The event is free and sponsored by
Minority Student Services, Office for Institutional Diversity, Multicultural Education Center,
Asian Cultural Organization and 12 CARATS.

Wong is best known for his recurring role on Law and Order: Special Victims' Unit where he plays a psychologist. He also performed on Broadway in the play M. Butterfly by David Henry Hwang. His performance ran 777 times, and he played opposite such stage titans as John Lithgow and Tony Randall.

Spring Arbor University GSA changes name, launches website

SPRING ARBOR– The unrecognized Gay Straight Alliance of Spring Arbor University has changed its name to Student Alliance for Equality, or SAFE, says Drew Hinkle, president of the group. The group will continue to create a safe space for LBGTQA folks, educate the community and to fight discrimination, harassment and prevent potential violence.

The group has also launched a new website, http://Springarborgsa.com. The site will feature photos from events, upcoming event listings, and links to various community supportive websites and organizations.
