Second City Detroit presents alternative production 'My Cuzin's Comedy Show'

NOVI – The Second City is proud to announce the opening of the alternative production, "My Cuzin's Comedy Show", which will run Thursdays beginning April 12 through May 10 at 10:30 p.m. following the mainstage production of "Michigan Impossible: All Laid Off & No Place to Go" in The Second City Theatre located at 42705 Grand River Avenue in Novi.
Directed by Nate DuFort, "My Cuzin's Comedy Show" is a hysterical multi-cultural look at living in the mid-west. With a cast of Chaldean, Indian and African-American actors, the show offers a comedic take on everything from racial relations (with politicians throwing political correctness out the window) to the inner workings of the court room (with two lawyers wrestling for much more than laughs). No matter where you come from, "My Cuzin's Comedy Show" proves that laughter is the universal language.
The cast of "My Cuzin's Comedy Show" includes Saurin Choksi, Candace Joy Dickow, Ashley Jolagh, Vivi Jona, Paul Jonna, Second City understudy Sam Richardson and Brian Yono. Pete Jacokes is the Stage Manager. The Co-Producers are Nate DuFort and Paul Jonna.
My Cuzin's Comedy Show is a Second City Alternative Production pulling themes from cast member and co-producer Paul Jonna's original production of the same name focusing on Chaldean and Middle Eastern life in Michigan. With many original cast members returning, and the addition of Choksi, Richardson and DuFort from The Second City, the new all original show offers new kinds of laughs, even more biting satire and after parties that will surely be "off the hook."
