Avon Players ask the question: "Do Black Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up?"

ROCHESTER – Avon Players presents the final production of its 2006-2007 season, "Do Black Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up?," with book by John R. Powers and music and lyrics by James Quinn and Alaric Jans, based on the novel by John R. Powers. The musical revisits the Catholic elementary and high school education of eight former students.
The show features Tom Shilakes as Eddie Ryan, Gabriella Meyers as Becky Bakowski, Jessica Gordon as Virginia Lear, Josh Monterosso as Felix Lindor, Steve Andridge as Mike Depki, Johannah Steinbrecher as Nancy Ralansky, Hope Comerford as Mary Kenny, Toby Booker as Louie Schlang and Rick Gebbie as Father O'Reilly.
The director is Lesa Bydalek.
Show dates are April 27-29, May 4-6, 11-12, and 18-19. Friday and Saturday performances start at 8 p.m.; Sunday matinees begin at 2 p.m.
Tickets for the show are $16 and can be reserved by calling 248-608-9077. The theater offers a $14 student/senior discount rate for the Thursday performance and the Sunday matinees.
Avon Players is located at 1185 Washington Road, one mile east of the intersection of Tienken and Rochester Roads in Rochester Hills.
