Start casting your votes for Detroit’s Design SuperStar

DETROIT – Online voting has now started for “Detroit’s Design SuperStar Challenge.” Applications and design concepts from aspiring artists who hope to design and furnish a two-bedroom, twobath or one-bedroom, one-bath floor plan within Detroit’s Garden Court Condominiums have been narrowed down to three finalists from each of the two respective floor plans by a panel of local judges. Submissions were judged on creative use of materials and aesthetic outcome.

You can now cast your ballot by visiting Those winners will then face-off against each other. The three first-round winners will be announced the week of Oct. 21. One overall Grand Prize winner will be announced and awarded the title of “Detroit’s Design SuperStar” during the week of Nov. 12.

Not only will the Grand Prize winner get the opportunity to design and furnish one of Garden Court’s units but they will also win cash prizes. The goal of this challenge is to showcase, and provide a platform for Detroit’s under-represented design talent.
