Letter: Thanks for the tribute to Louise Hodgson

My sincere thanks for the poignant story written by Charles Alexander about our dear friend, Louise Hodgson (BTL, Nov. 22, 2007, "Goodbye Sweet Diva: Remembering Louise Hodgson"). Like a gymnast nailing a perfect ten, so has Mr. Alexander in his refreshing story about a true friend of our community, one that we gladly shared with all segments of the arts. As one of her many escorts since the mid-seventies, I found Louise to be a genuine, caring person without a negative word for anyone or any performer or performance we encountered. She cut a wide swath in our cultural environment and will be missed greatly by the many organizations she made it a point to contribute to. It is no surprise that she designated Michigan Opera Theatre as the main focus of her bequest. And, the best gift we can return to her is a contribution both in person and in kind to the organizations she so gladly supported.

{ITAL Sincerely,
Robert P. Thibodeau
