Letter: Dems can beat Huckabee

By |2018-01-16T07:58:45-05:00December 20th, 2007|Opinions|

I wanted to react to the most recent Creep of the Week regarding Mike Huckabee. Generally, I think you have this one right. So often this column is filled with a lot of anger and overstretching. But I always give credit where it is due, and this time you use more facts and reason. Mr. Huckabee showed either gross ignorance or outright bigotry when he made those comments in 1992. I tend to think more the latter. The very thought of hauling off a group of Americans to quarantine (by that I think camp) for a disease that is not spread by casual contact is horrific. I guess we still have a long way to go in America. Thankfully this man will never be elected. This is the one major GOP candidate that either Hillary, Obama or Edwards can beat.
