Obituary: Kurt Andrew Tamm dies

Kurt Andrew Tamm, 41, died in his San Juan, Puerto Rico, home on Dec. 21 of an AIDS-related illness. Tamm was a former bartender at Detroit’s Backstreet and the Cobalt nightclub. He is survived by his parents, Fred and Paulette Tamm, brother Brian and sisters Pauline, Karen (Jeff) Gedz, and Andrea (Bert) Hendrickson.
The family will be holding a wake in his memory on Jan. 19 at the home of his sister, Karen. For more information on the location and time, please contact his brother Brian at
