Michael, Jon Parlangeli, Nancy Pitel, Gordon Price, Jack Summers, Charzette Torrence, and S. Kay Young.
“The monthly Art at Affirmations shows are drawing large numbers of visitors into the Center,” says gallery curator/artist Charles Alexander. “The space is idea for showing the work of new and long-recognized local talents. All are honored to be a part of this community sharing.
“Out-of-town NG/LTF visitors will be welcomed not only by a showcase Center of exceptional contemporary building design but a varied collection of art works as well by outstanding and original talents eager to participate in the twentieth anniversary gathering in Detroit. It’s a fitting visual sendoff.
“Jon Strand, as example, recently had a stunning one-person exhibit at the Max M. Fisher Pavillion in Detroit’s Orchestra Hall. Nick Jones is currently exhibited at Cranbrook. And the thought-provoking photographs of Charzette Torrence are currtently on display at the New York LGBT Center. (Thirty-six of her photographs will be on exhibit at Affirmations in a March solo showing.)
