Creep of the Week: Tony Zirkle

It takes all kinds, as my father says, and nowhere is that more true than politics. After all, politicians need voters and, arguably, voters need politicians. So if you want the people to vote for you, then you need to get out there and meet the people.
Which is maybe what Tony Zirkle, Republican candidate for 2nd District U.S. representative of Indiana, was thinking when he made a campaign promise to speak with any group that invited him to.
True to his word, last week Zirkle appeared at a Chicago meeting of the American National Socialist Workers Party, which bills itself as "the largest and most active pro-white organization in America." Zirkle spoke in front of a giant portrait of Hitler and the Party members flanking him sported Nazi armbands. The purpose of the meeting? Hitler's birthday.
There ain't no party like an American National Socialist Workers Party, because an ANSWP party don't stop…
But gosh, shouldn't we give Zirkle the benefit of the doubt? After all, he did make that promise to meet with any group.
Not quite. First of all, last month Zirkle claimed that a proposal to segregate the races in the United States was an idea worth looking into.
"While we are brainwashed with respect to integration and forcing everyone to be together and basically all arguments to the contrary are silenced, historically it's very often been the case that you have to segregate and apartheid people to stop the continual war," he told the Kokomo Perspective.
So perhaps its not surprising that during the Hitler-bration, according to Overthrow.com, a site edited by NSW Commander Bill White, Zirkle "spoke on his history as a state's attorney in Indiana, prosecuting Jewish and Zionist criminal gangs involved in trafficking prostitutes and pornography from Russia and the Zionist entity."
According to Zirkle, Jews are behind pornography and pornography is the number one thing ruining our nation. Not that he has anything against Jews.
On April 25, Zirkle posted the following on his campaign site: "I've been getting a flood of e-mails and phone calls, some of which include death threats, about my attempt to raise awareness of how the great porn dragon inspires Jews into pornography and prostitution and then, like the snake he is, turns the public against the Jews. Some have questioned whether there is any link to Jews and porn-prostitution. I guess I'll have to start showing the evidence."
He then lists a bunch of web sites as proof, including a link to an article by David Duke titled "Jewish Anti-Gentile Hatred Present in Porn Industry."
"Let's save our Jewish brothers and sisters from this tyrant king porn dragon before we get to another world-wide pogrom after a war with Iran or some other conflict and after the Jews get blamed again," Zirkle writes.
That's right, folks. In addition to spreading the gospel to the Nazis (his other stated purpose for his ANSWP address), he's trying to save the Jews with his great big porn-dragon-slaying sword.
Makes you wonder what Zirkle's web browsing history would turn up…
