Charles Pugh presided as master of ceremonies at the World of Desserts benefit Dec. 4 at the Detroit Historical Museum. About 150 people nibbled on delicious delicacies, all donated by local bakers to benefit the Michigan AIDS Fund. David Coulter, executive director of MAF, is seen on the left thanking guests, and with Pugh, right, awarding the prizes for Best Chocolate Dessert, Best Non-Chocolate Dessert and Best Presentation.
Craig Covey, executive director of Midwest AIDS Prevention Project, was seen noshing on desserts with many of the MAPP staffers along as well. MAF and MAPP had recently held a joint press conference to announce that the two agencies are merging effective in 2009.
