"Earth & Sky," by Douglas Post, is an exciting new thriller about a librarian, Sara McKeon, whose new lover, David Ames, is found dead. When allegations surface that her lover might have been involved in kidnap and murder, the police lose interest in finding the murderer. Sara begins an investigation on her own that leads her into the depths of the urban underworld. As Sara's investigation leads her deeper into the seamy underbelly of Chicago, we see – in flashbacks – glimpses of her relationship with David as the plots converge and the identity of the killer is revealed.
"The themes and characters in this play are very evocative of film noir," said director Matt Martello in a statement, "so I'm styling this production to look almost like a black-and-white film. I'm also interspersing video footage of Chicago to immerse the audience in the grit and decay of the setting."
The cast of "Earth & Sky" features Natalie Holbrook as Sara, Schuyler Lee as David, David Melcher as Kersnowski, David Pagano as Weber, Tomi Dres as Joyce, Charles Shreve as Billy, Alex Meza as Eisenstadt, Britttany Batell as Marie and Rob Roy as Gatz.
