Everybody Reads to transition to co-op

This past Saturday, supporters of the Everybody Reads in Lansing met to discuss the business' future as a neighborhood bookstore. The bookstore is known for providing reading material that appeals to minority groups and underserved communities, including the LGBT community.
According to owner Scott Harris,
"It is our hope to transition from a privately held bookstore to a member-owned community bookstore cooperative."
Now, said Harris, he is in the process of forming a steering committee to develop a plan for the transition. As such, the store is looking for volunteers to help with projects at the store, off location and behind the scenes.
