Feet for Seats' to benefit Meadow Brook

ROCHESTER – Meadow Brook Theatre recently announced "Feet for Seats," a 5K fun run/walk on the campus of Oakland University. This fundraising event has been planned to raise awareness of the professional theater, which has been located on OU's campus since 1966.
"We put on exciting shows," says managing director Cheryl Marshall, "but in these tough economic times, we need to rally around our local arts organizations and raise funds as well as awareness."
The event will take place Sunday, Aug. 23. Check-in begins at 8 a.m. at MBT, with the 5K to start at 9 a.m. After the event, stick around for a special performance by Jill Jack in front of the theater and lots of other fun surprises.
As a special bonus, participants will be able to purchase individual tickets to MBT's upcoming season immediately following the walk. Single tickets won't go on sale to the general public until Sept. 21, so participants will be getting priority seating.
Meadow Brook Theatre is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and as such relies on the support of individuals in the community to continue producing Broadway quality shows at an affordable price.
