Planned Parenthood to host Peace Prom

By |2018-01-16T12:59:53-05:00December 3rd, 2009|News|

A Coalition of Planned Parenthood of South Central Michigan is hosting a Peace Prom from 8-11 p.m. on Dec. 5 at the First Congregational Church of Battle Creek.
The church is located at 145 Capital Ave. in Battle Creek.
Peace Prom was established in 2008 for LGBT and allied people who may not have attended their prom with the companion of their choice due to fear and homophobia. Peace Prom allows all people to come and celebrate their prom with the partner of their choice in a safe and affirming place. The event is open to all people, regardless of age.
People from all over Michigan and surrounding states are invited to attend. The admission is free. Organizations or groups wishing to have a table at the event will be required to make a donation of $20, which will go toward LGBT services at the Planned Parenthood of South Central Michigan.
