OpenArms gathers HIV funds for Haiti

OpenArms, a non-profit HIV/AIDS support network based out of southeast Michigan, has begun a program to benefit Haiti and is asking for donations.
Lead Coordinator Rick Wilson shared that the program aims to collect HIV/AIDS medication and items for victims of the Jan. 12 Haiti earthquake. Acceptible items include all unused, non-expired antibiotics, anti-retrovirals and prophylaxis medicans for the treatment of AIDS and its associated conditions.
OpenArms is collaborating with AidforAids.org in making sure these badly needed medications get directly to those suffering and in need.
Items can be dropped off at the Community Pride Building, located at 429 Livernoise in Ferndale. For more information, contact Rick Wilson at 586-774-6413, or by e-mail at [email protected].
