HTJ holds first 2010 meeting

The Black Pride Society, which hosts the annual black LGBT Hotter Than July week of events every summer in Detroit, has announced its first meeting of the year. The meeting will be held at and catered by Traffic Jam and Snug pub in Detroit from 3-5 p.m. Feb. 28. The pub is located at 511 W. Canfield in the Cass Corridor.
The meeting will include discussion about upcoming plans for the 2010 celebration. The week of events generally includes a candlelight vigil, Ruth Ellis birthday march and remembrance, picnic and several other events. Upcoming volunteer opportunities will also be discussed at this time.
