Goldenrod Music will hold their final open house on Saturday, Dec. 4 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at their offices and warehouse located at 1310 Turner Street in Lansing. Highlights of the event include their famous "Buy Five CDs, Get One Free Sale," live music all day long, a great selection of $2 compact discs, a phenomenal listening room where people can listen to new music, and fabulous food. A special attraction for this final event will be the auctioning of some excellent Goldenrod memorabilia. The event is free and open to the public.
With performances starting at noon, this year's diverse musical line-up includes Ellis, an acoustic indie songwriter from Minneapolis; Nedra Johnson, a blues meets R&B singer-songwriter from Brooklyn; Ann Arbor's pleasantly aggressive folk duo Nervous But Excited andLansing's own folk goddess, Sally Potter. The scheduled performance times are noon – Nervous But Excited, 1:15 p.m. Sally Potter, 2:45 p.m. Nedra Johnson and 4 p.m. Ellis.
