Bachmann district called suicide contagion area

A Mother Jones expose published Monday shows how Congresswoman Michele Bachmann's district became a "suicide contagion area." Nine teens in the district have committed suicide in just two years, and four of the teens were victims of gay bullying. The report points to much anti-gay animus in the Anoka-Hennepin school district, including its refusal to allow students to create a gay-straight alliance.
Bachmann, who is hoping to secure the Republican nomination for president in the 2012 election, has not commented on the issue.
