Campus Pride Releases First-Ever National Trans-Friendly College List


Charlotte, N.C. – Campus Pride, the nation's leading educational organization for student leaders and campus programs working to create a safe college environment for LGBT students, announced the first-ever national "Top 10 List of Trans-Friendly Colleges & Universities" on Aug. 15.
The list is the result of a partnership with The Advocate and annual data compiled since 2007 in the Campus Pride Index, which takes an in-depth look at LGBT-friendly policies, programs and practices.
The campuses included in Campus Pride's list include (alphabetically): Ithaca College; New York University; Princeton University; University of California, Los Angeles; University of California, Riverside; University of Massachusetts, Amherst; University of Michigan, Ann Arbor; University of Oregon; University of Pennsylvania; and University of Vermont.
