Miller Won't Seek Re-Election

Candice Miller, the former Republican Secretary of State and six term congresswoman from Michigan's 10th District, will not seek re-election to Congress. She made the announcement on Friday.
She was widely praised for her service by lawmakers on both sides of the aisle, reports MLive.com.
Of course the battle for who will follow her in the 10th is already on. GOP options being bandied about for the seat — which represents all of Macomb and Tuscola counties, plus parts of Huron, Lapeer, St. Clair and Sanilac counties — include State Sens. Jack Brandenburg and Phil Pavlov, state Rep. Andrea LaFontaine, Clinton Township Clerk Kim Meltzer and former state representative Pete Lund.
