Bringing Pride To Hockeytown

BY BTL STAFF

DETROIT – The Detroit Red Wings are teaming up with the Detroit Regional LGBT Chamber of Commerce (DRLGBTCC) to offer a night out to support the local LGBT community.
Exclusive ticket packages are available for all Chamber of Commerce members, family and friends to attend the Hockeytown Pride Night as the Wings face off against the Boston Bruins at 7:30 p.m. on April 2 at Joe Louis Arena in downtown Detroit.
All proceeds from the event will be given to the Ruth Ellis Center, Affirmations and GALA, Chrysler's LGBT Employee Resource Group.
The Chamber hosted a similar pride night event in December for a Pistons game held at The Palace of Auburn Hills. That evening was a huge success and brought together many members of the DRLGBTCC as well as their allies. The Palace and Joe Louis hope to plan more game oriented pride nights in the future.
Chamber of Commerce tickets cost $40 for seats in the upper level covering rows 13-21. To order online, visit http://www.detroitredwings.com/drlgbtcc and use the code "hockey." For groups of ten or more, please contact Jenna Michlin, group sales account executive, at 313-471-7408.
