BY BTL STAFF

Grand Rapids Pride Center, an LGBTQ resource center, announces this week that the Lesbian Gay Community Network of Western Michigan has officially changed its name to the Grand Rapids Pride Center.
The Lesbian Gay Community Network of Western Michigan, known as The Network, has recently undertaken an extensive rebranding effort to better align with their mission, "Empowering our LGBTQ Community through supportive services and awareness."
"We are excited about this name change as it will allow us to be more in line with todays diversity/inclusiveness initiatives and resources that we offer," said Mike Hemmingsen, Board President.
The 501(c)(3) has operated in West Michigan for the past 28 years. The center offers social and/or support services for LGBT youth, LGBT homeless youth, an LGBT resource and business directory, career development and the Grand Rapids Pride Festival in June.
The center is located at 343 Atlas Ave. Southeast in Grand Rapids.
