Birmingham Spa Hosts Party for Special Group of Teens

BY BTL STAFF

Rivage Day Spa pampered a group of teens from Wish Upon a Teen with mini-pedicures.

BIRMINGHAM – The Birmingham Spa and Wish Upon a Teen combined to host a Spa Day for teenage girls battling serious medical conditions, according to a Hometown Life report online. Each teen attending enjoyed a luxurious day of pampering, including a facial, plus a mini-pedicure or manicure.
Rivage Day Spa recently opened in downtown Birmingham at 210 S. Old Woodward, Suite 260. Spa director Jessica Lundberg is a firm believer that going to a spa is not only a luxurious experience, but it's also a great way to spend the day socializing.
"We just wanted to give them a great day for the holidays and let them have a normal teenage day without having to worry about anything," Lundberg said.
Added Nancy Sovran, executive director of Wish Upon a Teen, "We were thrilled to partner with Rivage Day Spa to provide this amazing day of pampering for our teens. I'm sure they will keep this special day in their memories forever, one that given their medical situations, they might not otherwise have had the opportunity to experience. It's what Wish Upon a Teen is all about and we are very grateful to Jessica and her amazing staff."
Wish Upon a Teen is a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to providing resources, time and opportunities to teenagers with severe life-limiting medical conditions and learning disabilities.
