The Ferndale Catfe Lounge presents Purrlates – Pilates with a twist – on Saturdays at 9 a.m. at the Catfe Lounge at 821 Livernois St in Ferndale. According to the event website, friendly, adoptable cats will be mingling, participating and playing with you as you do your poses guided by Miranda, an ACE Group Fitness certified instructor.
Purrlates is a multi-level class so newbies are welcome as well as advanced practitioners. The small class size means Miranda can provide modifications on the moves that are appropriate for each student. It is recommended that attendees bring a yoga mat. If you tend to sweat, a washcloth or towel is suggested. Comfortable clothing is suggested. You will be barefoot during the session. Water, juice, tea and coffee are available.
