Sasha Velour at Necto

On her website , Sasha Velour describes herself as a “gender-fluid drag queen and designer currently living in Brooklyn, NY.” She is also the creative director of Velour: The Drag Magazine, and produces the critically-acclaimed monthly drag show called Nightgowns. NEXT magazine described Nightgowns as “a signature blend of thoughtful, politically-charged, emotional drag.” Velour is also a visual artist, who’s art has been featured in a variety of publications like Posture, QU33R, Cicada, The Nib, InkBRICK, Comics Workbook Magazine and in several solo gallery shows. But Velour is perhaps best known for being the season nine winner of “RuPaul’s Drag Race.”
On Friday, Dec. 8, Velour will headline a show at Ann Arbor’s Necto Nightclub, hosted by Chanel Hunter and Jadein Black.
The performance will include two shows, the first beginning at 9:45 p.m., with an encore set at midnight. The midnight show will be followed by a fan meet and greet photo opportunity. Meet and greet tickets can be purchased online, along with VIP services and upgrades.
Necto’s resident pride night DJs, DJ Jace and DJ Digi Mark, will be mainting the music all night in both the main room and the red room.
