9th Annual Lansing Zombie Walk

Gore and ghouls will abound on Saturday, Oct. 13 as an undead horde of zombies will traverse the path from the Lansing Center to the Michigan State Capitol. The event is presented by Capital Area District Libraries and all ages of undead participants are encouraged and invited to make the free trip while dressed in their spookiest zombie style.
"We ask participants to bring a nonperishable food donation in support of the Greater Lansing Food Bank, and to assemble at 11:30 a.m. inside the Lansing Center by Exhibit Hall C," said event organizers. "Once the donations are collected, the horde members will be given a wristband before being unleashed on the unsuspecting citizens of Lansing, Michigan, at high noon. Traffic comes to a stand still (sic) as we shuffle our way to the steps of the Capitol for the greatest photo op (sic) ever seen. Afterwards, we invite the walking dead to return to the Lansing Center for discounted entry into How-To Halloween to compete for big prizes in our Best Zombie Contest on the main stage and join in all the spooktacular fun at the festival."
The event officially begins at noon and runs until 5 p.m. More information can be found online at gaybe.am/zx.
