Affirmations hosts open house

FERNDALE –
Affirmations will host an open house on Sunday Feb. 13 at 1 p.m. for supporters of the center who have been center partners in the past but are not center partners at this time. Agenda items will include an overview of operating changes in response to economic challenges, an update on capital structure/debt challenges, plans and progress related to Campaign for the Future, reflections on the candidate profile for next executive director, executive director search process and timing, plans for community engagement around strategic planning, and board expansion and growth.
"I realize the last few years have been challenging economically and people have had to make tough choices about how to allocate their charitable dollars," Board President Mary Rose MacMillan wrote in a press release. "But I also realize that some people have withdrawn their support of the Center for reasons that are more operationally based. In either case, I hope that you will take the time to join us that afternoon for an open dialogue about our Center."
