Concerned about the future of Michigan’s largest center for the LGBT and allied community center? Curious about their upcoming plans? Wondering how to get involved?
Affirmations will host their first State of the Center from 5:30-9 p.m. March 9 at the center in Ferndale.
Attendees can see a presentation that both highlights Affirmations’ history, as well as gives an update on their current services and programs. The meeting will go into detail about the center’s financial situation, which has been a heated topic of discussion by local and national voices since drops in donations were announced in December of last year.
Also at the State of the Center, attendees can receive information on this year’s Big Bash celebration, held 6-11:30 p.m. March 21 at the Motor City Casino and Hotel.
