AIDS at 25: events

No birthday parties are planned; rather, there will be a rally on the Capitol steps to commemorate the anniversary of the discovery of HIV/AIDS on June 5. Later that same week, members of the Global Coalition on Women and AIDS will stop in Detroit as part of their 2006 tour.

June 5, 5-7 p.m.: Rally on the State Capitol to acknowledge 25 years of HIV and AIDS and to commemorate the first case of HIV.
