‘Queer Eye’ Star Antoni Porowski’s New Boyfriend Is a Michigan Man — and They’re Making It Official
The food-and-wine expert has a new favorite local flavor (and we’re not talking about cherries)
Looks like “Queer Eye” star Antoni Porowski has a new reason to love the Midwest — and it’s not just the cherry pie, though let’s be honest, he’d probably whip up a rustic, locally sourced version in no time.
Porowski, 41, is dating personal trainer and Michigan native Zacharias Niedzwiecki, 33. The couple recently went Instagram-official with a dreamy photo snapped during a yacht trip through the Mediterranean. In the pic — posted to Niedzwiecki’s Instagram in June — Porowski plants a kiss on his boyfriend’s cheek as the sun sets behind them, both dressed in crisp, matching white linen. Because of course.
But it’s not all European glamour and curated boat outfits. Just this week, the pair traded the Med for Michigan, spending some cozy time in Traverse City with Porowski’s rescue dog, Neon, in tow. The trio hit the beach and snapped plenty of pics — including one Porowski captioned, “pro-tip: find a local to show u around Traverse City.” Niedzwiecki followed up with a selfie of the three of them and a casual caption: “my guy.” He also joked about their frequent travels with a wink to his followers: “I swear I have a job…”
Even Pure Michigan couldn’t help but chime in. The state’s official tourism campaign gave Antoni a proper Mitten State welcome, posting: “Cheers to your first time in TC, Antoni. Come visit us again soon.” Translation: Michigan has entered its Antoni Era.
If they haven’t already bumped into Pete and Chasten Buttigieg — Traverse City’s most famous power couple — it’s probably just a matter of time. Between the lakeside views and farmers markets, this town’s quickly becoming a low-key gay getaway.
But for Niedzwiecki, the Traverse City visit was more than just a getaway — it was a return to his roots. The fitness coach and opera singer studied vocal performance at Michigan State University, where he performed in a wide range of productions, including “Les Misérables,” “La Bohème” and “The Pirates of Penzance.” Under the direction of tenor Richard Fracker, Niedzwiecki honed his classical chops with MSU Opera Theatre before branching into personal training and yoga instruction.
The Michigan connection may be more than a one-off. Given Niedzwiecki’s strong ties to the state — and his growing relationship with Porowski — it’s not a stretch to imagine the “Queer Eye” star making more frequent visits to the Mitten State. The couple has also been spotted together in places like Montauk and Aspen, documenting their time with a mix of selfies, sunsets and shirtless hikes.
This marks Porowski’s first public relationship since splitting from ex-fiancé Kevin Harrington in 2023. At the time, his rep noted that the pair had “amicably decided to part ways” after reflecting on their future during the wedding planning process.
Now, with a new chapter unfolding, Porowski appears to be embracing love — and the Michigan lakeside lifestyle — once again.
