Come OUT and Laugh with Affirmations

ROYAL OAK – Join Affirmations Lesbian and Gay Community Center in welcoming comedian Kate Clinton to Mark Ridley’s Comedy Castle this Oct. 19 for the organization’s annual FUNdraiser Come Out and Laugh.
According to Kate Clinton’s own bio, “Kate Clinton is a faith-based, tax-paying, America-loving political humorist and family entertainer. She has worked through economic booms and busts, Disneyfication and Walmartization, gay movements and gay markets, lesbian chic and queer eyes, and ten presidential inaugurals. She still believes that humor gets us through peacetime, wartime and scoundrel time.”
Doors open at 7 p.m.; showtime begins at 8 p.m. Tickets are $25 and are available at the door or online at http://www.goaffirmations.org.
